For over seventy years, Crestan has applied the fundamental principles of the art of furniture-making: the techniques is tradition where knowledge of the wood, the real solid wood of walnut, and great dexterity create original pieces of high quality furniture which due to their characteristics can furnish many different houses, including modern ones. The furniture we produce is linked to different periods in the history of furniture and is the result of artisan creativity which can be said to be almost an art.
The Palazzo Alfieri Collection retraces the ‘800 furniture history. It’s a modern reassessment of antique beauty and harmony, of symmetry and balance. This collection is dedicated to and echoes the lyric sensibility of a poet, all which is conveyed by its unimpaired design and absence of sumptuousness. As one of the Crestan collections, it is fruit of a thorough research of style and techniques which has created a unique “art-furniture” collection, that is full of image-value, high-professionality and made with precious materials. Each piece of furniture is able to add a touch of class and elegance in all classical ambiances. The funiture items are made uot of solid walnut and embellished with elegant inlaid threading of box, maple or cherry wood. The Palazzo Alfieri Collection adheres to the faithful manufacturing and re production of ‘800 Langhe style furniture: its joints are linked togheter with wooden bearing-nails and its drawers are made with the dovetail-joint tecnique. All glass cabinets are made with ground crystal and with handmade inlaid backs and posts. Its precious antiqued finishing is obtain with 13 (thirteen) strokes of water-colour and ecological paint, all which respect and protect the environment.
